Friends of Music Concert on September 12, 2010

Friends of Music opening concert of the 2010-2011 season
will be held in the Chapel on September 12, 2010 at 4:00PM.

Elisabeth MacKay Field, Soprano and Steve Field, piano will be
performing pieces by Handel, Brahms, Rachmaninov and many more.

Seasons tickets can be purchased at the Chapel Office or
individual concert tickets can be purchased at the door
for $30.00.

Rev. Dr. St. John will bless each animal
Each animal will receive a Blessing Certificate

Friendly and well-behaved aimals will be welcomed

All animals must be under control and suitably restrained
All animals must have identification in the event of escape

Those who are nervous, aggressive or who simply cannot make it,
can be represented by photos, etc.

You my register by completing the form found in your Sunday bulletin
during the month of September and placing it in the
offering plate or retuen it to the Chapel office prior to October 10Th
or you can put the information require to rgister on the contact page of this site.

Pet's Name, beloved pet of, Will be in attendance, will not be in attendance.

Habitat House

The Village Chapel donates quarterly to Habitat for Humanity.

Construction on the next Habitat for Humanity House begins January and everyone on Bald Head is invited to participate in this community project., as we did two years ago. We framed all of the Habitat House walls on Bald Head Island and when the floor system was finished, Builders First Source of Southport loaded our framed walls and delivered them to the home site. We then went to the home site and erected all of the walls.

We need enough money to pay for the materials. On our first house, this cost was approximately $3,500. We are asking for your help in raising this amount.

All contributions should go to the Bald Head Island Chapel, who will be the custodian of the fund and will pay for all material expenses. Should there be extra funds, we will buy paint for the interior and do the painting.

Aside from the satisfaction you will realize, the entire operation will be lots of fun. Joe Ridgeway will be our saw and hammer leader and you will learn a lot about building. If we get to do the painting, I will let you know.
