The Chapel is a member of the Southport-Oak Island Inter-Church Fellowship, a group of 18 area churches that connects the faith community. The Chapel distributes monies to the SOIICF for the local Food Pantry Special Needs Fund. Volunteers participate in the Christmas Angel Tree ministry in December for needy children in Brunswick County as well as a Christmas-in-July Tree to help children with back-to-school supplies. In the fall, the Chapel also sponsors an annual CROP Walk (Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty) to provide food and other services for the needy in Southport and Brunswick County. In addition, the Chapel provides volunteers and funds to assist the local Habitat for Humanity organization in the construction of houses in the Southport area.

Members of the Altar Guild assist the weekly minister, prepare the altar, set up for Communion and coordinate with “Greet and Seat” volunteers. They also prepare for private or in-service Baptisms, Ash Wednesday, Palm Sunday and Easter services. In addition, they decorate the Chapel and Chapel condo for Christmas.
The Men's Bible Study led by Rev. Dr. Garrett Albertson meets two times a month at the Bald Head Association first floor conference room. Our next meeting is on March 7 from 8:00-9:00 a.m.. All men are welcome.
